A4e tender to deliver employment training in Zabrze. Amin delighted to be awarded another year of 'improving people's lives' A4e Deutschland - Happy First Birthday
A4e tender to deliver employment training in Zabrze A4e is looking to continue its European expansion and, building on its development work in Poland of the last two years, has submitted a tender to deliver employment training in Zabrze.
A4e is looking to deliver a small pilot programme that will 'increase the number of jobs and, as a result, improve the quality of living in Zabrze', an aim stated by the Mayor of Zabrze, Malgoratza Manka-Szulik.
A4e will look to bring its experience and expertise, gathered while delivering services across the EU and Middle East, and combine it with the local knowledge of the Poviat Labour Office. Partnerships will be key to the A4e's approach and close links will be built with the local voluntary/community sector and with local employers, to ensure that job vacancies are identified.

Amin delighted to be awarded another year of 'improving people's lives' Amin is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a one year extension to its contract to deliver employability training in Jerusalem, through the newly re-named Orot LeTaasuka (Visions for Employment) programme.
When the Mehalev (Welfare to Work) programme launched in August 2005, it was scheduled to run for 2 years and A4e was awarded the contract for Jerusalem, forming Amin in partnership with Israeli company Aman. The programme provided employment training and job matching to enable unemployed residents of Jerusalem to move back into work.
Jerusalem formed one of four pilot areas and A4e is delighted to have been awarded an additional year, so that the pilot can be studied further prior to a planned national roll out. The contract extension is a testament to the excellent work that has taken place in Jerusalem and Amin would like to thank all of their partners and stakeholders for the role they have played in this success. To date off the 7,500 people that Amin has worked with, over 4,000 people have moved back into sustainable employment - an achievement rate of over 50%.

A4e Deutschland - Happy First Birthday It's just over one year ago since A4e began delivering employment and training in Gelsenkirchen and, as the German government announces the lowest employment figures in over ten years, A4e is delighted to reflect on a successful first year.
A4e Deutschland opened its doors in September 2006, delivering a Work First programme, of training and job creation, on behalf of the Integrationscenter für Arbeit Gelsenkirchen (IAG). The programme was revolutionary in that it saw a new model of delivery introduced into Germany for the first time. A4e married successful elements of its UK provision, such as open plan offices and discretionary funds for the purchase of equipment with the existing successful elements of local provision. The result is a programme that is community focused, customer focused and employer focused.
This new programme was an immediate success and 6 months on, A4e was awarded its second delivery contract in Gelsenkirchen working with the 50+ market. This led to the expansion of the Gelsenkirchen office and much press interest into the reasons for the programme's successes.
Over the first year of this pilot programme A4e has worked with 264 participants and the percentage of those people leaving the programme to enter full time employment has been impressive, running at 47%, a level in excess of the IAG's expectations. From March 2007 - August 2009 the office in Gelsenkirchen expects to welcome at least another 500 participants through its doors and is confident that it can help many more people find work.
The success has not been restricted to Gelsenkirchen though and A4e Deutschland expanded in August 2007, opening two further offices in the Aachen region. This expansion was again greeted with heavy media interest and the German national Bild featured the office opening. A4e looks forward to welcoming 240 participants into the centres over the next 2 years and will provide them with tailored support that will enable them to make a return to work.
