A4e in South Africa
In the UK we deliver training and employment opportunities to over 60,000 people every year. Last year we helped 11,000 unemployed people get a new job.

A4e in South Africa

A4e is a successful international organisation that works with governments, the private and third sector to design and develop social inclusion programmes that benefit individuals, organisations and communities.

Four common themes underpin our work with government. We:

  • Deliver a wide range of services to individuals that are marginalised and excluded
  • Tackle market gaps and address market failure in the delivery of public services
  • Join up public services to enable socially excluded clients to access full range of services that meet their individual needs
  • Engage 'hard to reach' individuals and organisations in public services

A4e is consulting with the South African Government sharing the welfare to work expertise it has gained across the world to support the country’s key agenda.

Bridging the skills gap - City Of Johannesburg

A4e In South AfricaWe are working with the municipality as they prepare to issue a tender for the delivery of a Welfare to Work program for 10,000 unemployed people, through the Jobs Pathways programme following a pilot.

The Programme will provide advice, training and opportunities for unemployed people to change their circumstances. It will enable them to identify and overcome their barriers and support them into sustainable employment.

Jak Koseff and Thuli Kumalo (Directors at City of Johannesburg) and their teams will be visiting A4e in the UK in April to see the work that we are carrying out and to meet with stakeholders such as Job Centre Plus.
